Fun & Done Sewing Club - a new project class for kids

We'd like to introduce a NEW class at the Murray store.  The Fun & Done Sewing Club for kids.
(Not to be confused with the Kids Sewing Club - watch for a new session to start in 2013.)
December -- The Patches and Fringe Scarf.
Date & Time:  December 27 AND 29th at 2 to 4 pm each day.  (If you can't make it on Thursday, come on Saturday and we will get you started so you can finish up at home.)
Cost: $20 for BOTH days plus $8.50 for the kit.
What to bring:  Basic sewing kit with good fabric scissors, a disappearing ink pen (like the FriXion pen), and seam ripper.

Keep yourself toasty warm with a colorful and uniquely stitched rainbow fleece scarf that looks like a long and narrow quilt. The stitching technique eliminates any bulk from the seams and allows the scarf to be reversible. Each end has a two-fabric multi-color patchwork block and an easy fringe finishes the narrow edges. This is a great beginner project and is so much fun that you might even like to make one for a friend! Come join us for a fun afternoon of learning and sewing, and wear your scarf on the way home.

It's helpful to know how to use a sewing machine, but it is not mandatory.  We will provide Babylock Grace sewing machines for you to use for the class.
Parents - A gift certificate for the class would make a GREAT stocking stuffer!

January -- Photo Hang-Up.
Date & Time:  January 26 at 1:30 to 4 pm.
Cost: $15 plus $11 for the kit.
What to bring: Basic sewing kit with good fabric scissors, seam ripper and a cheap glue stick.

Give your photos and memorabilia a special place to be seen and admired! Clear vinyl pockets are attached to a background of the same vinyl and then framed inside and out by an assortment of colorful ribbons. Here is a wall hanging that is sure to get attention and won't you feel good when you can say, "I made it!"
The Cotton Shop will provide Babylock Grace sewing machines for students to use.
